Clinical track is educational only

The clinical track is for education only. It is not a certification or license, and it does not authorize any learner to practice medicine or perform clinical duties. Learners remain responsible for meeting the licensing and credentialing requirements of their own jurisdiction.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to work with IVP to take these courses?
No. Education & Training is open to anyone. Completing a track can strengthen a candidacy, but it is never a condition of employment with IVP. Every track ends with a Certificate of Completion, stating the person completed IVP's training program. It is not a state-issued or nationally accredited certification, license, or credential, and it does not authorize clinical duties. CME, where mentioned, is earned separately through third-party accredited tools such as OpenEvidence, not granted by IVP.
What is the difference between the non-clinical and clinical tracks?
Both cover the same specialty. The non-clinical track focuses on how to work as a medical assistant or virtual assistant in that specialty. The clinical track adds clinical depth for medical students, MDs, DOs, NPs, PAs and other advanced practitioners. Neither track grants certification or licensure.
Is the certificate a license or accreditation?
No. It states that the learner completed IVP's training program. It is not a state-issued or nationally accredited certification, license, or credential, and it does not authorize clinical duties.
What does the marketing representative track lead to?
Real world experience in medical marketing. Completed properly, it can lead to a letter of recommendation or Certificate of Completion for your CV. It is training, not a guarantee of income or placement.
Are the practice forms legal advice?
No. Forms and templates are sold as customizable starting points, not legal or compliance advice, and we do not review your specific use of them. Your practice is responsible for reviewing and customizing every form before use.
Is CME included?
CME is not granted by IVP. Where CME is mentioned, it is earned separately through third-party accredited tools, such as OpenEvidence.
Are courses available in other languages?
Yes, on a rolling basis. Each course is translated with help from native speakers, and medical translations are reviewed by a qualified native-speaking clinician before publishing.
